Halloween by Rob Zombie.

I watched Halloween by Rob Zombie tonight and I must admit at first I was kindy iffy about this idea of Rob messing with a classic such as Halloween. However, he did a damn good job and I have only one complaint.

The movie shows you what happened to Michael before what of been the first Halloween movie but also rolls into that as well. It shows you what Michael was like as a child and what happened when he was ten years old. Now here comes the complaint, the little boy (Daeg Faerch ) that played the young Michael sorta looks like a girl but he did an amazing job none the less. Daeg done so well that it truly looked like he was one sadistic little guy but at the same time you felt bad for him and wanted to give him a hug.

I loved the fact that Rob Zombie brought back a grown Danielle Harris to play one of Laurie’s friends. In case you young people don’t what I’m talking about, Danielle played in Halloween 4 and 5 as Jamie Lloyd - Michael’s neice/daughter of Laurie. Of course, seeing some parts of Danielle’s scenes were kinda weird for me as I’m use to seeing her as the little girl from The Last Boy Scout, Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead and the rest of her movies. Another cool thing about Danielle is that she’s exactly two days younger than my boyfriend who is a huge fan of the Halloween movies.

Rob’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie played Michael’s mom Deborah Myers and she brought in a convincing performance of a loving mother who wanted the best for Michael and was completely devastated when all hell broke loose.

I give this baby a 4 star rating out of 5.
